HISTORY
History – In 2009 & 2011 the APEX Museum in collaboration with the Georgia Black United Fund (GBUF) hosted the APEX SHARE EXPO at the Georgia International Convention Center. The event brought together 50 nonprofit organizations to encourage collaborations and to expose the community to the work they are doing. In 2015 The APEX Museum and GBUF will host its first virtual SHARE EXPO which will provide a platform for 100 nonprofit organizations to present to the public the work they are doing with 24/7 access.
PURPOSE
To encourage collaborations among nonprofit organizations to expand their presence and increase the impact of their services to the community. To help nonprofits recruit business and professional individuals for their organizations and enroll Metro area students in internships. It will also offer nonprofit organizations access to discounts and pro-bono services and the opportunity to enroll in online workshops 24/7.
BENEFIT
The nonprofit organization will gain access to others with whom they can collaborate, showcase their services to abroad population and draw from a body of students as potential interns. All of the 700,000 plus individuals currently being served will have the level of service improved and the nonprofit will have a better chance for sustainability.
APEX SHARE EXPO
The APEX SHARE EXPO will also benefit sponsors as they are highlighted to show their commitment to the community and their role in social responsibility. Other business providers, as vendors, will also have access to more than 100 nonprofits to which they can offer professional services at discounted rates to increase their client base.
